Clergy appointments

Father Lancy D’Silva CSC will take over as Dean of St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral and Administrator of the Adelaide Cathedral parish, as part of the clergy appointments announced this month.
Originally from Bangalore, India, Fr Lancy was ordained a priest in 2002 and has been serving in the Adelaide Archdiocese since mid-2019 at the Sacred Heart parish (Hindmarsh/Findon).
Announcing the 2024 clergy appointments, Archbishop Patrick O’Regan said Fr Lancy would begin his new role on February 9 and will replace Fr Anthoni Adimai SdM who will take over as parish priest of St Francis of Assisi parish, Newton.
Other appointments include:
- Fr Santhosh Nazareth CSC appointed as parish priest of the Sacred Heart parish from February 9.
- Fr George Ochula Oluoch, newly arrived to the Archdiocese, appointed as assistant priest to the Adelaide Cathedral parish, from January 26.
- Fr Luka Poljak, also newly arrived to the Archdiocese, appointed primarily as chaplain to the Croatian Community from January 5, as well as to assist the Archdiocese in other ways at the direction of the Archbishop.
