From computer-generated images to tactile features, the diverse and colourful designs made judging a challenge, according to Communications director Jenny Brinkworth.

“It’s the highest number of entries we’ve received since starting the competition in 2012 and the standard was excellent,” she said.

The winners are: Years R-2 Alannah Mathew, St Therese School, Colonel Light Gardens; Years 3-5 Indigo Jenkins, St Martin de Porres School, Sheidow Park; Years 6-9 Tyler Cheshire, Rostrevor College and Holly Jaritz, Samaritan College, Whyalla. They have won Wallis Cinema family passes. All entrants will receive a certificate.

Archbishop O’Regan has chosen Alannah’s bright and joyful design to use on his electronic Christmas card.

Some of the entries will also feature on the electronic sign in Wakefield Street, city, adjacent to the Cathedral.
