St Raphael’s School principal Emma Fowler has been recognised as one of South Australia’s leading educators, receiving multiple prestigious awards at the 2025 EdTechSA and Educators SA World Teachers’ Day Awards ceremonies.

Emma was named Leader of the Year at the EdTechSA Awards and went on to receive the State Award for Innovative Educator of the Year at the Educators SA World Teachers’ Day celebrations. These accolades recognise her extraordinary leadership, commitment to innovation in education and dedication to fostering engaging, future-focused learning experiences for students and staff.

Since becoming principal at St Raphael’s School in Parkside, Emma has championed a culture of curiosity and creativity, leading initiatives that strengthen student learning through technology, community partnerships, and holistic wellbeing programs. Her focus on cultivating a connected and inspired learning environment has seen the school’s teaching and learning practices thrive.

“I am deeply honoured to receive these awards,” Emma said.

“They represent the collective effort of our school community and the incredible staff who work every day to make learning meaningful and inspiring for every child.”

The Educators SA World Teachers’ Day Awards recognised more than 70 outstanding educators across South Australia for their contributions to education. The event, hosted by Educators SA, celebrated the achievements of teachers and leaders whose work continues to shape the future of learning.
