Staff from St Joseph’s School at Murray Bridge also travelled to Penola for the event.

“As principal of Mary MacKillop Memorial School, the significance of the feast day of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop is both deeply personal and profoundly meaningful for our school,” Ms Coote said.
“St Mary of the Cross MacKillop founded our school and laid the foundation for a legacy of faith, compassion and education that continues to shape our community today.
“On the feast day, we honour her courage, her unwavering trust in God and her commitment to serving others, especially the most vulnerable.”
