The Archdiocese of Adelaide has purchased the property at 186 Greenhill Road, Parkside, and entered into a lease agreement with Catholic Education to provide future accommodation for the Catholic Education Office (CEO).

Following refurbishment and fit-out, the CEO will relocate to the new office space where it will share occupancy with current tenants, Letcher Moroney Accountants.

CESA executive director Neil McGoran said the new office, set across two levels, would offer modern facilities, with on-site and off-street car parking available.

He said a planning and development team was working closely with architects on the design and office layout, with plans to be released in the coming months.

“We look forward to providing staff with regular updates on progress and, at the earliest opportunity, we will invite staff to visit our new office premises,” he said.

It is anticipated CESA’s 200-strong workforce will relocate from the Thebarton office by Term 2 2026.

Plans for the Thebarton site are still being worked through and it is expected CESA will maintain some level of presence on the current site in the short term.

“We will work closely with the Cathedral Parish, and all Catholic Education Office staff, to manage the transition arrangements with sensitivity and care,” Dr McGoran said.

Catholic Education Office staff have been located at the former Kilmara College site at Thebarton since 1993, after vacating the Diocesan Centre building in Wakefield Street.
