Child protection expert coming to Adelaide

One of the world’s leading experts on safeguarding, Fr Hans Zollner SJ, will visit Adelaide next month as part of a speaking tour organised by Australian Catholic Safeguarding Ltd.

Fr Zollner is a Catholic priest, theologian, psychologist and professor. He was a member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors for nine years and is currently director of the Institute of Anthropology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
He has been delivering safeguarding speaking tours across the world for many years and is regarded as the one of the Church’s leading voices on improving protections for children and adults at risk across the global Church.
The Archdiocese of Adelaide is co-hosting the Adelaide forum which will be held at Sferas on Thursday February 13, commencing with registration and morning tea at 10am.
Fr Zollner’s presentation entitled ‘Safeguarding through the lens of Catholic social teaching’ is open to clergy, Religious, safeguarding contact persons, school principals, safeguarding professionals, and parish pastoral council members and chairpersons.
A workshop starting at 12.45pm will be restricted to clergy, Religious and senior safeguarding professionals.
