In its fifth year, the weekend is a faith formation and renewal experience that includes interstate and local speakers, a live praise and worship band, Mass, the sacrament of reconciliation, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a children’s retreat, teens stream and time for community building.

Previous participants have commented that the weekend has supported their faith and ministered to them in a variety of ways. One high school participant commented that she “really loved the praise and worship and felt God’s love through this,” while an older participant reflected that it was “great to have the time to reflect and pray”. Another said that the event “affirmed our vocation of marriage and encouraged us to keep working on bringing faith to our children.”

The weekend is hosted by the Disciples of Jesus Covenant Community and will feature interstate guests including Tim and Lara Kirk, Bernadette Toohey MGL and Fr Cameron Smith MGL alongside local presenters and musicians.

The Adelaide Fire Weekend is taking place at Blackfriars Priory School, Prospect, July 13-14.  Registrations and more information: app.tickets.org.au/afw/24 or adelaidefireweekend@gmail.com – register before Friday July 5 to avoid a late fee.
