As part of Friday Live @ Your School, NOVA 919 set up a fruit stall, coffee van, games and a photobooth for the community to enjoy from 6am in the morning.

Principal Jason Mittiga spoke to Jodie and Hayesy about the school’s unique environment and how “blessed we are to be surrounded by such beauty”.

He also thanked the parent who nominated St Francis Xavier’s for the event.

The community gathered in prayer to celebrate our common home, the Earth and to celebrate God’s creatures of the Earth.

“We asked God to pour upon us the power of his love to protect all living things and their beauty,” Mr Mittiga said.

“We thanked God for our beautiful wellbeing dog, Molly, who turned one on this day of celebration.”

Religious Education leaders led the liturgy with Reception children singing the Rainbow song with Mr Mittiga.

The students also sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Molly with a special cake made for her.

The Year 6 Eco Warriors were joined by special guest Blair Boyer, Minister of Education, Training and Skills, to support with picking up rubbish at the Wynn Vale dam.
