Recognition for palliative care team

Adelaide's highly regarded Palliative Care in the Home service has been named Calvary Health Care’s Team of the Year in national excellence awards celebrating staff and volunteers who exemplify the spirit of Calvary in their roles.
Team members were recognised for their sustained excellence and exceptional commitment to living Calvary’s mission and values of hospitality, healing, stewardship and respect in the service of others.
Based at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, the service helps to provide increased choice for patients about where they receive their palliative care. Since 2018, more than 35 per cent of the service’s patients have achieved their wish to die at home, well above the national average.
The annual Mary Potter Awards are named after the founder of the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary.
Today, Calvary continues that legacy in hospitals, homes and virtual care services, retirement living and residential aged care homes across five states and two territories.
