New prayer resource for children

A new audio prayer resource for children and families has been launched by Catholic mum and catechist Cate Kensey.
Time with Jesus is aimed at parents who would like to teach their children to pray but are not sure how to go about it or can’t seem to find the time for family prayer.
The resource is a collection of short five minute meditations that take listeners on an adventure through 13 popular New Testament bible stories, using different voices, sound effects and music. Children are guided to use their imagination to climb trees, steer a boat, ride a donkey and climb a mountain with Jesus.
“Children have wonderful imaginations,” says Cate. “It’s easy for them to imagine themselves in a bible scene with Jesus and hear and watch what He does. They get to learn who Jesus is and they experience personally Jesus talking and sharing with them. They encounter the love and care that Jesus has for them.”
Cate says COVID-19 sand the impact on church services has made it more important than ever to find new and engaging ways for children to remain connected to Jesus and to grow in their faith.
