While its news website is updated regularly, the team at The Southern Cross understands that many of its readers look forward to receiving the printed copy of the newspaper each month.

For the May and June issues, readers are being asked to fill in a subscription form if they wish to receive a FREE copy of the paper. Those already subscribed will receive a discount on their next annual subscription.

Editor of The Southern Cross, Jenny Brinkworth, said the Archdiocese recognised the need to stay in contact with Catholic community now more than ever.

“We are committed to continue to spread the good news to our Catholic community throughout the coronavirus crisis,” she said.

“We believe it is now more important than ever to keep communicating with you either through our online news portal and/or through print.

“With the churches closed it means parishioners can’t purchase the newspaper the normal way, so we decided to get creative and provide the next two issues free of charge to those who subscribe. It’s really an offer too good to miss out on.”
