Fringe concerts popular

Hundreds of concertgoers enjoyed the three pipe organ recitals held in St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral during the Fringe festival.
Perth-based organist Jacinta Jakovcevic provided an uplifting and well-received opening concert on February 28, setting the tone for the next two offerings by locals Amir Robin-Karas on March 7 and Andrew Georg on March 14.
This is the second year the sounds of the Canadian Casavant Freres pipe organ have featured in the Fringe and organisers were again pleased with the number of people who supported the free lunchtime concerts.
Already the Archdiocese has plans in place to be involved with the Fringe in 2019.
