Growing closer with God's help
Events
Couples wanting to discover or rediscover the need for God in their lives will have an opportunity to gather twice this year at World Wide Marriage Encounter weekends.
World Wide Marriage Encounter is a Catholic-based weekend enrichment program aimed at improving couples’ marriages as they grow closer to each other through better communication.
Another successful weekend was held on November 1-3 at the Adelaide Royal Coach, with 13 couples attending.
It was one of several Marriage Encounter Weekends were held throughout Australia in November, while multiple weekends were also being held all around the world. Couples from all over Australia and New Zealand prayed for the participating couples.
During Covid times, Marriage Encounter was unable to hold weekends for several years in Adelaide.
“Married Encountered couples are part of a community which meets regularly to renew the experience they enjoyed on the weekend they spent together,” said SA and NT Team Leader Gregory Sutton.
“Our community supports couples and families by sharing their life experiences as they journey together.”
The World Wide Marriage Encounter weekend experience is open to all married couples of any age.
This year’s weekends will be held on May 2-4 at Lyndoch and October 31-November 2 in Adelaide.
Bookings or enquiries for a marriage Encounter weekend can be made through www.wwme.org.au.
