Priestly ordination in May

James Thomson will be ordained to the priesthood in St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral on May 27 at 10am.
Archbishop Patrick O’Regan announced the date last month “with great joy and thanks to Almighty God”.
Ordained a deacon in September last year, James is completing his studies in Boston, USA.
The former credit analyst entered the seminary in 2018 but his studies were interrupted when COVID forced him to return home. He studied remotely from Adelaide and then spent his pastoral year in parishes, the most recent being Mount Gambier.
