Pope Leo makes Vanity Fair’s 2026 Best Dressed List

Fashion magazine Vanity Fair announced its annual Best Dressed List in August, with style savvy staff choosing their top dressers across five categories: originals, perennials, professionals, duos, and the future.
Pope Leo XIV was named alongside the likes of singer Bjork and filmmaker Spike Lee as one of the most original dressers on the year. The Pope was praised for ‘taking his modest cream cassock to heavenly heights by pairing them with Nikes’. Vanity Fair also said, ‘Leo has kept his sense of wry casualness, sometimes sporting baseball caps’.
