Teachers and staff took to the stage in a surprise performance that was both entertaining and deeply moving – a reminder of the passion and creativity that fuels Catholic education.
The production was directed and choreographed by Loretta De Palma, the school’s Performing Arts leader.
Loretta said the concert wasn’t just a school event; it was a celebration of the performing arts within Catholic education, highlighting how creativity, collaboration, and storytelling are woven into the fabric of learning.
“The students’ confidence and joy on stage were a testament to the nurturing environment St John the Baptist School has cultivated over nine decades.”
Held at the Christian Family Centre in Seaton, the event drew a full house, with parents, alumni, and community members celebrating the milestone.
Loretta said the Soundtrack of 90 Years was more than a concert.
“It was a love letter to the past, a celebration of the present, and a hopeful glance toward the future,” she said.
“It captured the essence of what makes St John the Baptist School a cornerstone of Plympton’s community: heart, heritage and harmony.”
