For Helen Hayes and Michael Storen, the move to McAuley Community School signals the end of a very long association with the school. Three generations of their families have been through the school over six decades. Michael attended St Teresa’s from 1956-57, his daughter Anita Thiele was a student from 1985 to 1991 and her children Alexis and Jade are currently enrolled there. Helen Hayes (nee Canny) attended from 1961-64 and her daughters Kate Kennedy and Jo Kroon began their schooling there in 1986 and 1987 respectively. Kate’s sons Lachlan and Joel and Jo’s children Aidan and Abbey are current students.
