Journey to Port Pirie via Poland

The universality of the Catholic Church was on display on September 29 when Salvatorian priest Karol Kulczycki was ordained a bishop for the Diocese of Port Pirie in Trzebinia, Poland, by Philippines prelate and Apostolic Nuncio to Australia, Archbishop Adolfo Tito Yllana.

Bishop-elect no stranger to Australian Outback

The recently-appointed Bishop-elect of Port Pirie Diocese, Fr Karol Kulczycki SDS, may be from Poland but he is no stranger to the Australian Outback, having ministered in Western Australia for 21 years.

Pope appoints new bishop of Port Pirie

Pope Francis has announced the appointment of Fr Karol Kulczycki SDS, the former head of the Salvatorians in Australia, as the new bishop of the Diocese of Port Pirie.
