Over the summer break my daughter messaged me while at the dentist in Sydney to tell me there were two nuns in the waiting room.

A chance to reflect on consecrated life

Most of us would have heard the voices – sometimes they are our own – that wonder and ask: Why are there not as many Religious anymore? Why can’t I recognise them as in the past? Why don’t they live in big groups…or dress the same way as I remember them…or as we see them in the movies? Why is there such change and differences between each group?

So that all may live

On the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on February 2, many communities across the world focused on World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life. This year, I celebrate 40 years of lived Religious life.

Changing of the guard

Sister Enid Wood OP will take on the role of Vicar for Religious for the Archdiocese of Adelaide, following the appointment of Sr Marie Ralph as Community Leader of the Sisters of Mercy in Eastern Victoria and Tasmania.
