Affordable high-quality education is more important than ever as families face the challenges of rising living costs, says Kildare College principal Tina Neate.

Located in the heart of Holden Hill, the all girls’ Catholic college prides itself on being one of the most affordable Catholic secondary schools in Adelaide and a place where young women are empowered to flourish through the nurturing of academic excellence, personal growth and lifelong connections.
“At Kildare we understand the financial pressures many families may face, so we remain dedicated to making high-quality education accessible without the burden of high costs,” Mrs Neate said.
“Feedback shows our families are amazed at the facilities and curriculum offerings at Kildare, that what we offer is great value for money.
“This consideration of afford-ability, and an exceptional education, positions Kildare College as an accessible and valuable option for families.”
Established in 1966 by the Brigidine Sisters, Kildare College provides education to girls in Years 7-12.
With a broad range of curriculum choices, extracurricular activities and continually evolving facilities, Mrs Neate said the college is committed to developing confident, resilient and compassionate young women ready to make their mark in the world, developing both personal and academic growth.
From the Performing Arts to Woodwork, STEM innovation to immersive Physics trips to Arkaroola, every girl is encouraged to explore her passions and develop the confidence to shape her own future.
Education at Kildare extends beyond the classroom.
“Our vertically integrated Pastoral Care system fosters connections across all year levels, creating a strong sense of belonging and support,” Mrs Neate said.
“Leadership opportunities, social justice initiatives and community engagement activities help our students grow in confidence, responsibility and purpose.
“Every student is encouraged to find her voice, discover new passions and contribute meaningfully to the world around her.”
With a bold vision for the future, Kildare College has made significant investments in state-of-the-art facilities and learning resources, enabling students to thrive in an innovative and dynamic environment.
Over the past eight years, Kildare has upgraded facilities and successfully completed two major building projects, with a third to soon commence construction.
These expansions include facilities such as a dance studio, café, media room and construction zones.
“With our new Lightbridge Performing Arts and Wellbeing Centre set to open in 2026, students will have even more opportunities to flourish in an innovative and dynamic learning environment,” Mrs Neate said.
“With enrolments growing by 65 per cent since 2018, the Lightbridge Centre, will cater for the growing needs of the community.”
