The South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools (SACCS) is seeking nominations for the 2023 Catholic Education Awards South Australia.

The awards aim to celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions to Catholic education of staff and volunteers working in a diverse range of endeavours including primary and secondary schools, special circumstances, preschools, Early Learning Centres and the Catholic Education Offices.

They provide a formal opportunity to recognise those whose efforts are beyond the already high standards of education and care delivered by people involved in Catholic education.

The 2023 awards have been endorsed by SACCS, the Association of Principals of Catholic Secondary Schools, the South Australian Catholic Primary Principals Association, and the Secondary Deputy Principals and Senior Leaders Association of Catholic Education SA.

The awards recognise and acknowledge unwavering commitment to Catholic education and the outcomes that can be achieved. They also recognise and acknowledge innovative practice being developed to improve the quality of learning and teaching.

The award categories are:

A new Laudato Si’ Award has been added in 2023 that will acknowledge the recipient’s commitment to the principles of Laudato Si’ through ecological conversion, eco-spirituality, social justice action and advocacy.

Nominations close on February 28.
