Craig Fosdike, principal of St Martin de Porres School at Sheidow Park, has been awarded life membership of the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation.
Craig received the national accolade at the annual general meeting of ACHPER SA last month.
The current co-president of ACPHER SA, Craig is also a life member of the South Australian Catholic Primary Schools’ Sports Association (SACPSSA), achieving Hall of Fame status in 2017 in recognition of more than 25 years of valuable service to the association.
SACPSSA executive officer Darren Elliott said Craig’s contribution to the growth and development of professional development programs has been outstanding.

“However, throughout his time as a teacher and school leader, Craig has also played an influential role with ACHPER, both nationally and within SA,” he said.
In 2009, Craig was a made a Fellow of ACHPER, in recognition of his continuous, high level professional commitment to the development of teachers and students in physical education, health and junior sport.
“This latest elevation to ACHPER life membership is further acknowledgement of the extraordinary esteem in which he is held in these fields,” Darren said.
