Celebrating Mission of Catholic Education
Schools
Catholic schools across the State will this month host activities and events to celebrate their distinctive mission and contribution to local communities.

Running from May 12 to 19, Catholic Education Week will showcase some of the wonderful things happening in the State’s 103 Catholic schools.
With more than 46,000 students and employing in excess of 6000 staff, Catholic education plays an important role in South Australia’s education sector. Catholic Education SA strives to provide school communities that offer a safe, welcoming environment for all families and which share the Catholic heritage and traditions in a modern-day context.
Embracing the theme ‘where every child matters’, a range of events and principal’s tours will be held in the Adelaide and Port Pirie dioceses during the week.
One of the events will be a Mass at St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral on May 18, to be attended by more than 500 upper primary students from six schools in the South East Region.
