Elizabeth and Nicholas Kreis were pleased to receive their special highlighters to mark Safeguarding Sunday when they attended the children’s liturgy at St Joseph’s Church, Brighton, last month. Elizabeth, 7, and Nicholas, 5, are pictured with their parents Tim and Katrina who are convenors of the children’s liturgy which is held on the first Sunday of the month at 10am Mass at Brighton.

The Mary MacKillop cross made its way to St Rose of Lima Church, Kapunda, in Northern Light parish last month. Constructed by the Penola branch of the Knights of the Southern Cross in 1986, the cross has been travelling around the Archdiocese as part of a pilgrimage marking the centenary of the Knights in South Australia. The Votive Mass for St Mary MacKillop was celebrated by Mgr John Swann who is pictured with parishioners in front of the cross.

Lydia Rose Lampe was baptised by Bishop Charles Gauci in Queen of Angels Church, Thebarton on August 23. She is the daughter of Morgan (nee Schulz) and Frances Lampe of Owen. Godparents are Tina and Nigel Schulz, Christina Schulz and David Schulz. Bishop Charles has a long association with the Schulz family, having celebrated weddings and 14 baptisms over three generations. Bishop Charles is pictured with Morgan and Frances and their children, from left, Lucas, Anita, Lydia, Elina, and Jacob.

Mateo Monge was baptised by Deacon Paul Crowe in St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral, Adelaide on June 11. He is pictured with, from left, his godmother Mariana Alcantara, parents Susana and Fredy Monge of Redwood Park and godfather Dexter Galvez.
