Around the parishes
Two community groups came together recently at Balaklava, baptisms were held in Salisbury and Henley Beach parishes plus a beautiful wedding brought together family and friends at Newton - these services round off some events held in our parishes over the last couple of months.
TOGETHERNESS: Members of the Couples for Christ group at Balaklava joined the community of St Vincent de Paul at Pt Wakefield for Mass in early January. The group has a strong base and includes families from the Filipino community who are working in the area. Following Mass the children and adults enjoyed a shared lunch under the trees.
Ettore Lexington Jones is held by mum Bianca Nardecchia and is pictured with dad Samuel Jones, sister Chelsea and Fr Krish Jon Mathavan MSC after his baptism in Sacred Heart Church, Henley Beach.

Gabriel Matthew Amponin-Chase, held by his mum Leila Amponin, with dad Michael Chase, godmothers Fran Symonds and Marie-Louise Nankivell after his baptism in St Augustine’s Church, Salisbury.

Lisa Gagliardi and Francesco Monterosso were married in St Francis of Assisi Church, Newton on October 20, 2018. Fr Eldridge officiated. Parents: Len and Rosanna Gagliardi of Paradise and Nino and Enza Monterosso of Fulham Gardens.
