Centacare services on show

Dot painting and an albino kangaroo called Banjo were just a couple of the ways Centacare Catholic Family Services showcased its involvement with the community at its biennial expo earlier this month.

Held at the Adelaide Oval on June 5, the expo featured a variety of displays representing the organisation’s regional and metropolitan services.

It was a chance for Centacare’s almost 500 employees to learn from one another and for 200 invited government and non-government representatives, students and stakeholders to get to know the many ways Centacare supports more than 30,000 South Australians each year.

One of the highlights of the day was the launch of a promotional film telling Centacare’s story. Produced by Mackbel Films, the 30-minute video explains the history of the service, its core mission and values, and shows examples of the professionalism of staff in meeting complex challenges every day.
