The following day parish representatives collected their blessed oils at the annual Chrism Mass. On Holy Thursday Archbishop Wilson washed the feet of members of the local community during the re-enactment of the Last Supper. The beautiful weather on Good Friday attracted thousands to the outdoor Stations of the Cross held at The Monastery, while the special Stations of the Cross for children at the Cathedral proved popular.

Fr Charles Gauci’s story telling held the attention of a large group of youngsters as they processed and sang their way through the children’s Stations of the Cross which was held for the first time in St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral. Later parents joined them for hot cross buns in the Cathedral Hall.
