BEAUTIFUL BEACH: Students from Dominican School at Semaphore picked up litter on their local streets, footpaths and beach. The whole school also took advantage of the beautiful day and surroundings to enjoy a shared recess on the Semaphore foreshore.

TEAMWORK: Children from St Margaret Mary’s school worked in small groups at a local reserve and filled six hessian bags with litter weighing about five kilograms. They were pleased to be able to make a difference in their local community. “If we didn’t do it, there could be animals harmed and it would be filled with rubbish. It looked so much better,” said Year 5 student Jean.
