Each year Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion, which runs through the six weeks of Lent, brings together communities across Australia, in solidarity with the world’s poor, to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity. Caritas Australia is deeply concerned that the Federal Government’s Electoral Funding and Disclosure Reform Bill will undermine our democracy and stifle the voice of civil society. Caritas is calling for the Bill to be substantially amended.
